These 10 individuals, including seven who are independent Trustrees who are not affiliated with INREIT, are all experienced business and real estate professionals. They guide INREIT's growth with new investment opportunities for our shareholders.

Bruce Furness, Chairman

Bruce Furness, Chairman

Bruce is a native of Bismarck, N.D., and earned degrees from Jamestown College and Montana State University. He was employed by IBM for 30 years in several locations and, upon retirement, worked with the Greater North Dakota Association from 1992-1996. He was elected to the Fargo City Commission in 1992 and served as Mayor of Fargo from 1994-2006. Bruce was employed by State Bank & Trust of Fargo from 2006-March of 2008, when he was appointed interim CEO of the North Dakota Workforce Safety and Insurance agency, a position he held through March of 2009. Bruce is now semi-retired and serves as a director for State Bank & Trust, Lake Agassiz Water Authority, INREIT, Tri-College University, The Consensus Council, Red River Zoo, ND Economic Development Foundation and the Metro Sports Foundation.

Peggy J. Becker

Peggy grew up on a ranch in Beulah, N.D. She attended school at Beulah High and has worked in the restaurant business in Bismarck since 1970. She purchased the Little Cottage Café in 1985, which she managed and owned until 1997. Peggy purchased Armstrong Sanitation Plus in 1993 and Dakota Sanitation Plus & Roll-Off, Inc. in 1997, which she still owns and manages today.

Clifford Fearing

Clifford graduated in 1965 from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, with a B.A. in accounting/finance and a minor in international law. He began his accounting career with Lybrand, Ross Brothers and Montgomery, Inc. in Chicago. In 1967, he moved to the accounting firm of Bouley, Heutmarker and Zibell, Inc. in Minneapolis. Two years later, he took a position with the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Minneapolis and eventually became CFO of the hospital's finance department, which he retired from in 1999.

Tim, CEO of a 36-physican hospital in Alexandria, Minn., received his M.H.A. from the University of Minnesota. A diplomat in The American College of Healthcare Administrators, he has 28 years of experience in healthcare administration. Tim is a past board member of the Minnesota Medical Group Management Association.

Lawrence R. (Larry) O'Callaghan

Lawrence R. (Larry) O'Callaghan

Larry received his A.A. degree and a Certification in Computer Proramming and Systems Analysis from Bismarck State College.  He was awarded the Certified Senior Advisor, (CSA) certification in 2001.  Larry is a licensed life insurance agent, a registered representative for securities, and a Realtor.  His work experience inludes raising millions of new investment capitol for Real Estate Investment Trusts since 1994.  Larry is one of INREIT's original founding members and served as INREIT's first Chairman of the Board. 

Kenneth P. Regan

Kenneth holds a B.S.B.A. in business management from the University of North Dakota. He is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Property Manager (CPM) and member of the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI). He began his real estate career in 1979 with Warner and Co. in Fargo. In March of 1981, Kenneth, along with James Wieland, founded the Goldmark companies. Today, he is CEO, Chairman and an active partner with the Goldmark Schlossman Real Estate Services, Inc. and Goldmark Development Corporation.

Richard Savageau

Richard received his B.S. in science and mathematics from North Dakota State University and St. John’s University, served the U.S. Army in the Infantry Medical Corp. and completed an M.S. in education at NDSU. He also has more than 50 years of business leadership experience and has held positions on 13 boards of directors, often serving as chairman. His work experience includes being a math and science educator, a finance manager for General Motors and a pharmaceutical sales executive. He also worked his way up from finance manager to president of Caterpillar Inc.–Butler Machinery Company from 1986-1998. Most recently, Richard has been presiding over several commercial and residential real estate developments.

James S. Wieland

Jim received both his B.S. and M.S. from North Dakota State University. Jim and his original partner, Kenneth Regan, founded the Goldmark family of companies in 1981. He continues to serve as president and managing partner of Goldmark Schlossman Commercial Real Estate Services and is active in Goldmark Property Management and Goldmark Development. Jim has been involved in property investment, management, brokerage and development since 1977.

James R. Hansen

James, a lifetime resident of Grand Forks, N.D., who graduated from the University of North Dakota with a B.S.in business administration. After serving in the U. S. Army, he began his career in the automotive industry, where he was a partner of Hansen Automotive Group in Grand Forks before the business was sold to Lithium Automotive Group in 2006. James’ background includes finance, accounting, acquisitions and management. He has been a longtime shareholder/unitholder with INREIT Real Estate Investment Trust.

Lance Wolf

A native of Wahpeton, N.D., Lance is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a B.S. in physical education, biology and chemistry. He was employed as a teacher and coach at Wahpeton High School for eight years before beginning his career at Gate City Bank in 1979. As executive vice president and director of retail banking, he directs office operations and business development activities for the bank’s 32 branch offices and monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Lance chairs Gate City Bank’s compliance committee. He also serves on the Open Compliance Committee of the American Bankers Association and the University of Mary Board of Regents.
